Made by the Tokai factory in 2002, this ST57 model has been upgraded and played heavily by the previous owner and is the perfect guitar for those who like the "played-in" look and feel.
Basswood body with a maple neck shaped with the classic '57 slim C neck profile (7.25" radius, 43mm nut, 648mm scale length), it weighs 3.6kg's. The original pickups have been replaced with a Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro in the neck position and a Duncan SSL-5 Custom Staggered single coil in the bridge position with what looks to be the original Fender USA Texas Special in the middle position. It's wired with a master volume and tone control with the second tone control converted to a blend knob that adds the neck pickup into whatever the 5-way toggle is to give you plenty of addition tones that wouldn't usually be available in standard Stratocaster wiring.
Plenty of cosmetic wear, playwear to the neck and some pitting on the frets as pictured. Given a full setup and service prior to listing including a fret polish and truss adjustment, plenty of life in the frets and a nice straight neck with low action.
