The First Base bump protection cap has evolved as a direct result of listening to our customers needs to integrate a more fashionable element to protective headwear. 

Giving workers a choice of bump cap styles has been observed to have a direct influence on the level of acceptance and actual use; helping to ensure there is less concern those workers may bump or lacerate their scalp. First Base helps remove the uncertainty a safety officer faces that a worker may be wearing a regular non protective cap, whilst meeting the fashion requirement workers appreciate and complimenting corporate identity.

The Protector FirstBase 3 is the third generation of 3M's pioneering baseball style bump protection cap, designed and approved in accordance with EN812 including A1. FirstBase 3 has been designed in partnership with some of the world's leading companies to deliver the perfect balance of comfort, protection and style; promoting the highest degree of wearer acceptance.

APPLICATIONS

The FirstBase 3 bump cap range is designed to provide protection against the effects of striking the head against hard, stationary objects which can cause lacerations or other superficial injuries. Bump caps are not intended to provide protection against the effects of falling or thrown objects or suspended loads and does not offer the same protection level as an industrial safety helmet as specified in EN397. Typical applications and environments that utilise base ball style bump protection include manufacture and maintenance in the aerospace, automotive and facilities maintenance sectors, transportation and logistics workers, tradesmen working in environments without the risk of falling objects and government institutions such as the Police.
