The first edition of this work in the publisher's original card wraps, with a glassine wrapper.
Alain Jouffroy (1928-2015) was a French writer and art critic of the Surrealist movement, whose work was influential to avant-garde art. This is a collection of his poetry, with illustrations by Romanian artist Victor Brauner (1903-1966), who was also part of the Surrealist movement.
CONDITION
In the publisher's original card wraps, with a glassine wrapper. Externally very bright, with a little bumping to the extremities. Glassine wrapper is faintly stained to the rear of the wrap, with chipping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean apart from slight age toning to the page perimeters.
