Well, this is a real classic! Marked "Crown" over "G.R.", "J. RODGERS & SON, No. 5 NORFOLK ST., SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND this wonderful knife is still fitted with the original Stag Horn Grips, 8" Bowie Blade and measures 10" in overall length with a German Silver Crossguard.

Complete with brown leather Scabbard with German Silver top and bottom mounts and leather Belt Loop. Some age spots to blade illustrating that it is probably 125 years of age.

A wonderful example of the Bowie Knives imported in the second half of the 19th century for use in the Gold Fields and on the Frontier. This is nothing short of a fine Victorian Bowie Knife dating from 1870- 1890 complete with Scabbard.
