Christo and Jeanne-Claude signed art card SURROUNDED ISLANDS, BISCAYNE BAY, GREATER MIAMI, FLORIDA, 1980-1983

In 1983, for two weeks,  eleven of the islands in Biscayne Bay, Greater Miami, were surrounded with 6.5 million square of floating pink woven fabric.

This art card depicts this project by Christo and Jeanne-Claude – one among many of their  fabulous temporary  works of art.  Their art goes beyond traditional painting and sculpture.  They were both born on June 13, 1935 – Christo in Bulgaria and Jeanne-Claude in Casablanca.  The met in Paris and became partners in life and began their collaboration creating epic projects. They lived In New York City.  Jeanne-Claude died in 2009 and Christo in 2020.  The card is signed by both Christo and Jeanne-Claude as shown..
