There’s so much to love about this men’s Bulova ‘Conrad’ wristwatch. With the backing of such a distinguished name in watchmaking, it’s impossible to turn your attention away from this one. Bulova has managed to perfectly marry classic refinement with elegant flair in this exquisite design. DETAILS:

Case:            ‘Conrad’ model. The delightful, distinctive and highly noticeable the rectangular bezel incorporates long articulated, horn-like lugs which are very eye-catching. Original and signed 'Bulova' and topped off with a new acrylic crystal. The 10kt rose gold plated bezel and case back have been cleaned & repolished and look great. In general, the case looks fantastic with only slight wear/scratches present commensurate with the age of the watch.

Crown:         New, newly acquired Bulova stock, signed. Excellent.

Dial:             Highly noticeable and complementing the 10kt rose gold plated case, the dial has been professionally refinished in copper tone. The numerals are marked with silver tone dots. At the twelve o’clock position there is a slender gold tone rectangular baton; at the three & nine o’clock positions the marker dots are gold tone these are slightly raised on the dial to great effect.

Hands:         The hands are all original, blue/black steel, ‘Modern’ style.

Movement:   BULOVA Swiss manual wind movement. This is a fine classic 8AE calibre with 17 jewels marked with a ‘star’ symbol for 1941. The movement has been cleaned, oiled & adjusted, and is running well, keeping good time, ready to wear. As with all vintage watches regular servicing is recommended.

Size:            Rectangular, approx. 40.77mm long including the lugs X 21.16mm wide (excluding crown). Approx. 26.97mm long excluding lugs.

Band:           A new 13mm black leather band with yellow gold tone buckle has been fitted which sets off this watch perfectly.

General comments:

This is an exceptional example of a Bulova ‘Conrad’ watch from 1941 which has been lovingly restored to appeal once again. The repolished case rose gold plated case and beautifully refinished dial make the watch highly attractive. The watch has a pleasing classic look and feel that simply cannot be found in newer watches.
