Great to add some rigidity to the Osprey vest if it is required..
A design feature of these was to protect the ballistic armour plates from damage and to help reduce the spread of fragments off them if hit in combat.
Plate covers are useful for collectors & also airsofters as they increase the stiffness of an otherwise empty vest so looking like a proper armour vest is worn without having armour plates inside!
Velcro closure openings at the base to insert a plate, these are also shaped covers as the front 7 rear are different shape plates.
