Lois Mueller has been rosemaling since 1977 and teaching since 1979.  She has taken many classes from both Norwegian and American painters in several styles of rosemaling.  Lois has been awarded a Gold Medal of Honor for Excellence in Rosemaling from Vesterheim, the Norwegian Americn Museum in Decorah, Iowa.  She is a life member of Vesterheim, a member of the National Society of Decorative Painters and several rosemaling organizations.  Lois has taught for Sons of Norway groups, Rosemaling and Decorative Painters Associations, and galleries throughout the Midwest.  In addition, she paints for several gift shops and attends many Scandinavian festivals.  Her interest in rosemaling has led to a family business with her husband Ron.  Ron is a carver who also makes woodenware.
