This listing is for a vintage Wolf Creek two piece patriotic toy. It features a star and fire cracker off white background with a red, white and blue drum at the base. A hand carved Uncle Sam is placed at the top of the toy and he slides down the wood pegs into the drum. The alternating peg design gives Uncle Sam an easy descent into the drum for his patriotic celebration. The piece measures approximately 23-1/2" tall by 6" wide by 7" deep. The wooden toy captures the patriotic spirit in all of us. It would be a stunning piece to add to any Wolf Creek collection.

Wolf Creek Woodworking was a family owned toy factory that manufactured wooden toys and other primitive wooden art objects in the late 1970s through the mid to late 1990's. The factories were located in Beaman and Eldora, Iowa. The Wolf Creek Woodworking company was noted for employing mostly retired area natives known as the "Elderly Elves". These Grandpas and Grandmas hand built a variety of solid wood, primitive and folk art objects. The "Elderly Elves" worked diligently to provide wood-crafted folk art objects and primitive wooden pieces that could be used and cherished for generations.
