Architectural Salvage Oak Wood Church Decoration 28.5" x 4" Tapered Antique

This is an antique architectural salvage wood item from a church that is solid wood. It appears to be oak and measures 28.5" tall and is 4" wide except the finial piece which is 5.5" wide. The item is 4.25" deepest (it tapers). I am not sure which end is suppose to be up. I think it could be used either way. I photographed it both ways...you decide. As you can see, it has stains, scuffs, scratches and original finish is lost in some places. There is a chip on one area. I am pointing to it in one photo.
