For sale is this fine mid-Victorian needlepoint tapestry in a rosewood frame.  It is a depiction (I believe) of Little Red Riding Hood. It is one of two similar tapestries I have for sale.  The other one looks like it's a depiction of a woodsman, possibly from the same folk tale, although the style looks different.  I believe, from the figured rosewood frame, that this was made in the mid-19th century, around 1850.  The visible fabric measures about 18 by 14.5 centimeters.    The frame in which it sits measures about 27 x 23 centimeters.  The tapestry is in good condition with strong colors and no rips or holes (please refer to photos).  The frame is in good condition with some scratching to the original varnish and minor wear and tear throughout.  I will be shipping the tapestry with its original glass.  It's a lovely example of folk art piece which would go well in most settings.

Please refer to photos and feel free to ask questions; I usually get back to you quickly!

Shipping will be free within the UK.  There is a reasonable shipping charge for foreign buyers, but I will consolidate both tapestries for one low price.

The items I sell are fully guaranteed to be as I have described them. I often go on buying trips in the U.K. and to France so keep checking my page.  I happily accept returns if you are dissatisfied with an item.
