A smart first edition of this work, in the original black cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrapper.
This work is a collection of poems by British poet, author, artist and metallurgist, Richard Percival Lister. During the Second World War Lister worked for the Royal Aircraft Establishment and the Royal Naval Torpedo Factory, showing his extreme skills in technological matters. In 1950, Lister began writing and publishing many different works, including prose, historical works, travel books and poetry.
This particular collection contains witty, satirical and thoughtful poems on a variety of topics. This was his first collection of poems; prior to this, Lister had his work shown in The New Yorker, Punch and The Atlantic Monthly.
CONDITION
In the original publisher's black cloth binding with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with minor shelf wear and the odd handling mark. The occasional mark to endpapers. Dust wrapper in excellent condition, with light edge wear and the odd chip. Age toning and light spotting to the wrap, mainly to the rear and to the reverse. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
