A beautiful early 1950s party dress! Made from a rich crimson velveteen, this classic dress features a flattering scoop neckline, short sleeves, a nipped waist, and a full, pleated, midi length skirt. It features contrasting black braided trim around the collar, cuffs, and down the front as well as functional front black buttons. Side metal zipper closure. I found several newspaper ads that date the dress to 1952, and it was also featured in Seventeen magazine!

*Shown styled with petticoats which are not included

Label: Jonathan Logan
Material: velveteen
Size: extra small

Measurements:
Bust: 34” - 36”
Waist: 24.5” - 25”
Hips: Full
Bodice Length: 14.5”
Total Length: 44”

Condition: Very good vintage condition! The dress has some scattered marks on the bodice, including some near the neckline and hem, as well as a faint mark on the center back. Due to some thinning of the fabric at the underarm area, the fabric also presents as darker under the arms and there are also a few pinholes (but this should stay hidden when worn). The dress also has some slight seam stress to the shoulder seams as well as a few small, scattered spots of wear to the pile of the velvet that would be hard to spot during wear. The dress also shows slight wear from where the original belt must have rubbed against the pile near the waistband, (most pronounced in back), but the original belt is missing. See photos for detail. Presents beautifully!

Fits as shown on a size extra small dress form that measures 34" - 24" - 35"
