A rare antique document - 1799 Indenture / Deed for sale of land in Wythe County Virginia.  Sold by James Lockhart to William Goodpasture.

The sale was for 120 acres for $200.

The document measures 12" by 14 1/2"

The reverse side has old tape at the folds and there are chips and tears at the outer edges.

The paper is tanned with age but is still entirely legible.

An interesting piece of Virginia history.
