This listing is for the two antique Mintons A.B. Daniell & Sons plates that you see in the photos. I purchased them at an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told their history. One reference that I found tells me that they were made from 1873-1912. I leave it to the buyer to decide how old they are.

Each plate measures close to 10 inches diameter. Both have the Minton mark that you can see in the photos.

The condition is much as you see it in the photos. The blue decorated plate has two imperfections on the underside that you can see in the photos. The larger ones looks like a factory flaw to me because the glaze thins at its edge and does not look broken which would give it a sharp edge. Some might say that it is a very shallow chip. The smaller one lo like missing glaze with probably a tiny chip at the edge. There is some missing gold on the small raised areas of design on the blue decorated plate and much less missing gold on the small raised areas on the red decorated plate. If I angle the plates to a bright light, I can see a few very light scratches in the central white area. One close-up shows some tiny dark spots of discoloration in the glaze of the red border plate that is a very slight factory flaw.  Otherwise, the plates are generally in excellent condition.

I guarantee these plates to be as described and represented by the 10 photos after the general description. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them.

Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs “close to” because in my opinion no measurements are exact and some things are difficult to measure.

I like to leave feedback after I know that the item has arrived and that the buyer is satisfied.

I reserve the right to cancel any bids without explanation.

I frequently purchase signature delivery for my more valuable packages because of the possibility of them being stolen off of a porch or damaged by weather. I often but not always ship the same or the next day. Often, I have a double wall box custom made for larger items and that might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually biodegradable. Sometimes, I use used boxes.

Please email me with any questions or suggestions. I do not ship on weekends. I might not be available to answer email on weekends.
