Made by the Fujigen factory in 1985 (based on the neck stamp), this PB62-55 was a very late model to still be wearing the famous JV serial number (although it's quite a high number as it starts with an 8).
With the desirable Fender logo on the headstock rather than the Squier one seen on most lower end models, the PB62-55 was built with a solid basswood body, maple neck and a 20 fret rosewood fingerboard (43mm nut width), weighs 3.8kg's. With the original Fender Japan single coil pickup, it's loaded with aftermarket pots, a new jack and a Russian PIO tone capacitor.
Well used vintage overall condition as pictured with only a few signs of wear as pictured. Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing, the frets have some wear but are shiny and play well and the neck is straight with a fully functional truss.
