Rare 12k scallop base antique singer sewing machine with ornate Acanthus decals.

Rare 12k scallop base antique singer sewing machine with ornate Acanthus decals. Could be used for sewing or as a wonderful ornamentally decorative addition to the home/office. It is a beauteous addition to any collection especially when fully restored to it's pristine mid-1800's glory.

The Singer ‘class 12’ (12K in England) or ‘New Family' domestic machine of 1865 was the foundation of Singer’s dominance of the sewing machine market. It was the most successful machine of the nineteenth century.

This one is a early model with the rare Acanthus decals and though i has a crack, this does not seem to stop movement of the needle up and down or the handle wheel etc. I have sadly never actually used it so i cannot guarantee that it is in complete working order. Thus the price as these models seem to go for £500 to £900 pounds in fully guaranteed condition, though without the case.

I have tried to show everything in the pictures and reasonable offers will be accepted.

a copy of the manual can be found here https://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/manuals/singer-12k-manual.pdf

The case is in near new condition for it's age. Decal still visible on it.

I would prefer pick up as it is heavy but will post next day delivery included in the price to all the UK87///////
