Measurement of the actual effective voltage value (TrueRMS) The CZF TrueRMS phase loss sensor is designed to protect an electric motor powered from a three-phase network in the event of voltage failure in at least one phase or voltage asymmetry between phases, which may damage the motor. Operation A loss of voltage in one or more of the phases or voltage imbalance between phases above the response threshold will cause the motor to shut down. The shutdown will take place with a delay of 4 seconds, which prevents accidental disconnection of the motor with a temporary voltage drop. Reactivation will occur automatically when the voltage increases by 5 V above the activation voltage (i.e. by the value of the voltage hysteresis). With the above-mentioned anomalies, the relay contact is disconnected and the engine cannot be started. Thanks to the measurement of the actual effective voltage value (TrueRMS), the sensor guarantees correct operation also in the case of operation in a highly disturbed power supply network.
