Genuine - 1970s - Satchel Briefcase By Barrow Hepburn - England

Barrow Hepburn were one of the best specialist British briefcase makers up until its takeover and subsequent closure in the mid-80s. 

And this particular example was Issued by Schweppes Ltd - to middle-senior management.

As can be noted, this one was Never Used, and has always been kept in cool, dry & clean conditions - with the Leather thererfore remaining remaining as supple & fresh as the day it left the B-H. And with the interior remains perfectly clean & odour-free.

The 4-Position, fully-operating brass-finished catch (without key) is in a classic deco pattern. And the 3 All-Leather document compartments - are of a good/practical size. And all equally suitable for laptops etc. 

N.B. a 13.5" screen HP (36cm x 24.25cm x 1.5cm) has been used in the photo - and it could accommodate a laptop upto 39cm x 30cm.

Additionally, it is perhaps worth remembering:  a traditional satchel briefcase like this NOWADAYS and NEW - are only available through a very limited number of specialist workshops - and then most-often then retailed by the higher-end designer brands - and as such are V pricey.

This briefcase should be regarded as a bargain ...     :   )

Background

We've acquired quite a lot of vintage clothing, incl. High Street fashion, and household collectables over the last 20 years. And we're looking to slim things down, as we're intending to move in late 2024/5

Nothing being offered will be 'tired' or worn-out - be it vintage or otherwise
