A group of soldiers, all delighted with the idea of going to the front and returning covered in glory, leaves for war. The hell of the trenches soon cools the youthful ardor of the protagonists and the mud on the boots and the worms found on the plate do not serve much to improve morale, while in the rearguard they live only betrayals and disappointments . Death decimates the group and takes everyone except the one who was predestined to be held accountable before history.
