DESCRIPTION

The first edition, first impression.

A wonderful murder-mystery from the Queen of Crime, in which retired police officer Luke Fitzwilliam attempts to discover the identity of a serial killer who is active in a small village.

A contemporary article in the New York Times Book Review remarked on this as 'one of Agatha Christie's best mystery novels, a story fascinating in its plot, clever and lively in its characters and brilliant in its technique'.

With a former owner's inscription to the head of the title page.

With two pages of advertisements to the rear.
