Both Wild Justice and A Falcon Flies are signed by the author to the title page with the inscription "For Trevor, with best wishes, Wilbur Smith."

Written by Wilbur Smith, a Northern Rhodesian-born British-South African novelist known for his historical fiction centered around Southern Africa across four centuries. Trained as an accountant Smith published a total of forty-nine books in his lifetime, selling over 140 million copies worldwide.

His debut novel, When the Lion Feeds, which gained him a film contract and allowed him to become a full-time writer.

CONDITION

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities of some volumes. The original dust wrappers are unclipped other than When the Lion Feeds, Gold Mine, The Sunbird, Eagle in the Sky, The Eye of the Tiger, Cry Wolf, and Wild Justice which have been price-clipped. Wrappers are smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Sunning to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. A 1" closed tear to the front board of Eagle in the Sky. Wrapper of The Sound of Thunder is worn with light loss to the extremities, particularly the head of the spine. With a 1" closed tear to the front board and a 2" closed tear to the tail of the spine. This dust wrapper is good only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Light age toning to the endpapers of Shout at the Devil. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpapers of When the Lion Feeds, The Sound of Thunder, and Eagle in the Sky. Contemporary ink inscription to the front pastedown of A Falcon Flies. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown of The Sunbird and Eagle in the Sky.
