Technics RS-X990 Auto Reverse Double Cassette Deck - Hi Fi Separate dating from 1989

Condition – Full working order. The cassette deck is in generally good condition, displays well, but there are blemishes, including some minor marks on the top and some on one of the sides of the unit, a slight mark on one buttons on DECK B, and some corrosion marks on the lower back panel, please see the pictures I have provided.

This Cassette Deck has been checked and serviced by my local Hi Fi shop before listing, who were originally Technics main dealers back in the day.

NB – I have tested the deck myself and the sound is still great and the build quality second to none in my opinion.

Product Description

The RS-X990 has two auto reserve decks for playback and recording versatility. For example, you can use two 90 minute tapes for 3 hour series recording, or carry the simultaneous parallel recording on both Deck A and Deck B. Series playback allows continuous, consecutive playback from both sides of both tapes.

High-speed cuts music transfer and editing time in half. And the infrared sensing Quick Reserve Mechanism cuts reversing time to about 1 second.

Technics 360 series of separates were excellent home audio products. Five 360 systems were released by Technics in 1989. This cassette deck was included in the X7D & X9D systems and is therefore a top specification.
