Brown ink and blue wash on laid paper. Size: c. 27x18cm. -- in very good condition. || Watercolored pen drawing on handmade paper. -- well preserved. || This beautiful and richly decorated drawing shows an ornamental object, most likely a vase or perhaps an urn. It is decorated with various mythological subjects. At the base of this ornamental object there are 3 satyrs and the vase itself stands on ram or horse legs. In the upper part, the object is decorated with two ram heads on the sides and what looks like a human head at the center. Among them - flower and fruit garlands, as well as foliage. The object is placed on a square pedestal and is covered at the top. The elements are drawn in a rather grotesque style, by an artist originating probably from Northern Italy.
