An exquisite antiqe Victorian/Edwardian  leather cartridge case . Circa 1900. This is made from gorgeous honey tan leather which has aged and patinated wonderfully and is complemented by the warm solid brass hardware. The case retains its internal slats for holding cartridges. This particular cartridge case holds a fascinating history as it once belonged to R.K. Loveday, a South African civil servant who served during the Victorian and Edwardian era. With its charming and intriguing background, this item is a truly remarkable find. On top of the case you can see original wax seal .It remains ready to use and enjoy.
