Glass pearls are made by taking a glass bead and either dipping or spraying it with pearlescent material to create a soft sheen like a real pearl. They are less expensive than the real pearl and are fairly durable so they can be worn more frequently. The glass pearls I offer in my store were made in China.
This 8mm Bronze-Coated Glass Pearl deferrers from the other Bronze-Coated Glass Pearls listed as iit does not have a smooth surface. Because of this feature there is not as much sheen on this bead as the other listings.
These pearls are a light bronze color. Color in the photos above is fairly accurate. A close look at the photos show the lack of smooth shine and the slightly sandy texture.
