In 1896 Gold was discovered on the Klondike River in Yukon Territory, Canada. As word spread a Gold Rush stampeded its way to Skagway, Alaska to pour overland into the Yukon. This historical park commemorates the Gold Rush and the stampeders. It's a treat, so don't miss it if you're in the area. Another segment of this park is located in Seattle where many of the stampeders started their journey. Find it at the Visitor Center in the Cadillac Hotel in Pioneer Square.
