Vintage Smoking Cowboy is ( as far as I have been able to find) a one of a kind pastel portrait signed by artist Al Mankin. It’s 16” by 20” including the substantial wood frame. Looks like it was drawn on a board. Plus it is a heavy piece— almost 5 pounds. The background is the color of a cardboard box.

This cowboy has a blue shirt with a long pointed collar and a red bandana of course.

If you like Yellowstone, Ranches, or cowboys, you will enjoy this artwork. If you’re shopping for your man, this would make a great gift for him to hang in his man cave.

Smoking is, of course, not good for one’s health, but back in the day, many people smoked. Including this craggy looking man. It may be a work done in the 70s, but I have no way to confirm that.

The detail in his creased, overly tanned face and hands is amazing. This white-haired ranch man is deep in thought about something. He seems the epitome of rugged individualism.

The frame has several scratches and marks as shown in the photo. Otherwise the art and frame are in very good pre-owned, vintage condition. There is a sawtooth hanger attached to the center top of the back to make hanging easy.

It ships from my smoke-free (lol) home.
