Pictured is an uncommonly seen cobalt blue cut-sponged, transfer ware eagle serving plate by Hammersley.  The border is cut-sponged with cobalt blue diamonds & triangles and the central area has an elaborate transfer of an eagle in flight, a shield, & a banner with "E. Pluribus Unum".  The underside is stamped with the registry mark dating the dinner plate to April 1868.  It measures 1 1/4" in height, 9 3/4" in diameter, & is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs.  The side edge has very light wear (abrasion), it cannot be seen from either side, see Pics.
