Satsuma-yaki became popular all over the world after the Meiji government's official participation in the World Exposition in Vienna, and the exotic and exquisite Japanese taste became popular. Satsuma-yaki, with its beautifully painted gold brocade, became a major export industry in Kyoto Satsuma, Kobe Satsuma, Osaka Satsuma, Tokyo, and other export-related areas, and produced many highly acclaimed potters, including Chinsugan in Honsatsuma, Kinmitsuyama in Kyoto Satsuma, Yabumeizan in Osaka Satsuma, and Hodota in Yokohama Satsuma.

Authenticity guaranteed! This is a "Meiji period," "Meiji period," "Kyôsatsuma," "Kinroshan," "Kyôsatsuma," "Kyôsatsuma," "Kinroshan," "Yabu Meizan," "Osaka," "Satsuma," "Hodota," etc.

This is an outstanding piece of gorgeous and gorgeous work with elaborate gold brocade color painting. Although lapis lazuli is used for a part of the interior and the bottom, even the white color of the base glaze is almost invisible in the elaborate painting. The glaze is heaped up in some places, and the painted gold parts seem to be accompanied by an extraordinary power that exudes dignity. The three layers of painting, divided into upper and lower sections, are diverse and pleasing to the eye, including a dragon with a tortoise shell design, flowers and grasses showing vivid colors, and a procession of feudal lords. The large overhanging lower part of the vessel is painted in lapis lazuli, and the floral arabesque pattern (the flowers are glazed) is executed with extremely precise brushwork, creating a seamless composition.
The potter's inscription inside the base reads, "○ (宰?) Tian Longshan. The potter's enthusiasm for his work can be seen in the powerful inscription.
It comes with a protective box (the top of the lid is titled "Satsuma gold vase with a procession of great masters").

[Condition.]
The vase is in very good condition with no major damage, although there are some rubbing and gilt grazing due to age.
