[Customer Testimonies]

N. M.: (QZM/MV89A/5-output configuration)

Used as the master clock for the DAC. Without the clock, there was a spatial scattering and bleeding of sound. With the clock, both were organized, the focus improved, and the spatial placement of instruments in front, back, left, right, above, and below improved, resulting in a natural sound.

O. A.: (QZM/MV89A)

Used with Esoteric K-03's word clock. It's compact and easy to handle, with a quick startup. The stability is sufficient, and I thought it was of high quality. I previously used Trimble receivers and DATUM rubidium, but the startup was slow, making it impractical. This time, I felt an overall improvement. Particularly, the silence and depth are excellent, and the clarity of low-volume parts was noticeable in many CDs.

T. R. (QZM/MV89A/4 output configuration)

I would like to report on the sound from GPSDO MC-3+ SX-11. In this setup, I can switch between using the internal clock of MC-3+ and an external clock from GPSDO. Additionally, since the SX-11 is a CD player, I can compare the sound from Node 2i (source is Tidal) with the sound of my CD collection.

First, regarding the sound from Node 2i, when using GPSDO as an external clock, there is a noticeable difference in sound compared to using the internal clock of MC-3+. The resolution and imaging have clearly improved, and the soundstage is more clear. I felt that this change was well worth the investment.

So, I set SACDs and regular CDs in the SX-11 and compared the sound with that from Node 2i. If I were to express my impressions using inequalities, it felt like SACD > Node 2i (Tidal MQA) >> SACD CD layer, Node 2i (Tidal CD quality) = CD. SACD sounded the best to me, but in terms of resolution, it didn't differ much from Node 2i (Tidal MQA). The difference seemed to be in the unique soundstage and atmosphere that SACD is known for. Some people may prefer the clean soundstage of Node 2i (Tidal MQA).

In any case, it's certain that the sound of Node 2i has been significantly improved by GPSDO. Personally, I still think SACD is worth buying, but I'm beginning to think that there's no need to buy regular CDs. Streaming is more convenient and saves the hassle of changing CDs. I introduced GPSDO as an experiment, and while I haven't tried other GPS devices, I feel that it was a worthwhile purchase to the extent that I don't feel like upgrading to GPS devices in the several hundred thousand yen class.

[High-precision, high-stability, high-purity master clock for audio A/D device]

Use of the ultra precision, high stability and high purity of the Morion MV89A Double Oven Xtal Controlled Oscillator eliminates the sense of harshness in the high frequency range (orchestra), and many users have testified to the clarity of the sound.

[True holdover function]

A true holdover function is also provided, which is a proof of high performance GPSDO. Even if the satellite signal is interrupted by torrential rain or snowfall attenuation, or if the satellite signal is removed, the 10MHz output frequency keeps high accuracy without the slightest fluctuation. Of course, when the satellite signal is recovered, it immediately returns to GPSDO mode. There is no frequency fluctuation at all during the transition to and from holdover mode.

On some conventional GPSDOs when the satellite lock is lost, they have been unable to function as a frequency reference device because the output frequency jumps or breaks but this unit continues to output the exact 10MHz reference frequency with its automatic holdover function even when the satellite signal is lost.

[12-digit frequency display]

High-precision display of the current output frequency to the nearest 100μHz.

It is nice to see 10 to 11 zeros in a row, 10 000 000 000.0.

The LCD panel also displays other information such as satellite reception status, UTC, and satellite lock information.

[10MHz 5 output]

Front right BNC connector10MHz Sine wave: +13.5dBm±2dB (3.0Vp-p into 50Ω load)

It can be changed to Square wave (TTL)

Front left BNC connector10MHz: +11.5dBm±2dB (2.4Vp-p into 50Ω load)

It can be changed to Square wave or 1pps (3.3V TTL)

3 outputs on rear panel10MHz Sine waves (50 ohms x 3)

The waveform set on front panel and impedances on rear panel can be modified at our factory before the shipment..

Please specify when you order if you need the modification.

[Very high sensitivity].

We have heard from several Trimble ThunderBolt owners and users of other GPSDO that this unit has the highest sensitivity (more satellites captured than others).

If the installation environment of the antennas is the same, it means "higher sensitivity = stronger satellite lock = better ability to maintain frequency accuracy".

[Fast satellite capturing]

This unit takes only a few minutes to capture satellites. This is unmatched in speed.

Just a few minutes after power-on, the LCD display will indicate that the unit has captured the satellite.

In addition, this unit outputs all signals shortly after power-on.

[NMEA signal output]

This unit has an NMEA signal output and works as a GPS/NMEA signal receiver.

Some free software can be used to monitor the NMEA signals. (The NMEA capability is Talk only, does not accept Commands.)

By connecting this GPSDO to a Windows PC via RS232 cable, you may monitor the distribution of satellites over the entire sky, each signal level, signal-to-noise ratio, high precision position information, etc.

If your PC does not have an RS232 port, you can also connect via USB port. In that case, use the "RS232-USB converter cable".

The instructions for connecting to a PC and setting up the recommended NMEA software are given in the instruction manual.

*We check the NMEA output capability before the shipment by our Windows 10 PC and attach the data as a performance data of the product.

We can assure that this unit outputs NMEA data but since the operation of software is dependent on the computer used, it does not necessarily mean that we can guarantee that it works on all computers.

[Strict Product Inspection]

This product is delivered to you after rigorous inspection and verification.

The inspection includes NMEA signal analysis to check the distribution of satellites over the entire sky, each signal level, S/N ratio, and so on.

This also confirms the performance of the receiver circuit and the antenna's directivity pattern over the entire sky.

The test data will be included in the delivery.
