Wonderful mug commemorates The Apollo 11 1st Moon landing July, 1969. On the front the Apollo 11 Lunar Module and moonscape are depicted along with the signatures of the 3 astronauts: Neil A. Armstrong, Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr., Michael Collins. The back depicts the Apollo 11 plaque which shows the earth and states: HERE MEN FROM THE PLANET EARTH FIRST SET FOOT UPON THE MOON JULY 1969 A.D. WE CAME IN PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND.

Crown Ducal was established in1913 in the town of Tunstall, Staffordshire, England.  Through the years the company established the reputation for high quality pottery/ china that became Collectable. In 1974 the business was sold to Wedgewood and was subsequently closed.  Since then the companies pieces have become more Collectable. Similar pieces can be found on the internet are copies of Crown Ducal, without that mark.
