Small-sized radio receivers "Svirel-2", "Svirel-402" and "Svirel RP-402-1" were produced from 1983, 1989 and 1991 by the Orsha plant "Red October". Receivers ''Svirel-2'' (402) are designed to receive radio stations in the LW and MW ranges on an internal magnetic antenna. Any receiver is powered by three elements of type 316. The duration of operation of any of the receivers, when powered by elements of type 316, is 40 ... 45 hours, at an average volume. The ''Svirel-2'' radio receiver became a further modernization of the serial single-band receiver ''Svirel'', produced since 1981. The ''Svirel-402'' receiver replaced the ''Svirel-2'', and the ''Svirel RP-402'' receiver produced since 1986 is the same radio receiver ''Svirel-402'', but with the RP prefix according to the new GOST -y. The receiver ''Svirel RP-402-1'' is a modernization of previous models. Ranges: DV - 148.0 ... 285.0 kHz, SV - 525.0 ... 1607.0 kHz. Sensitivity in the range LW - 2.5 mV / m, SV - 1.5 mV / m. Selectivity 20 dB. Maximum output power 100 mW. Sound pressure frequency range 450...3150 Hz. Radio receivers were also produced for export.
