Handcrafted 4.5" by 24" long William Penn reproduction Wampum belt.  This is crafted on a loom with brain tanned Deer leather, artificial Sinew and glass Wampum beads.  With the fringe, it measures 40" in total.   This is a reproduction of the William Penn belt, which was given to the Indians before they entered the Council House where the treaty was to be made.   It was a token of amity and good faith.   The figure with white heart represents the white man and the other figure represents the Indian.   When the treaty has been concluded, and the Indians went out of the Council House with William Penn, they presented him with a return belt as evidence of their good faith.   as usual, the treaty was faithfully kept by the Indians. but was broken by Penn;s sons after their father died and the gained power.   Will make any other Wampum belts that you may want made.  Weight is 14.2 oz.
