This is an unusual antique solid silver Tobacco Box.

This piece is assay marked for Birmingham 1910, makers mark is blurred.

The whole case is slightly curved to fit the body, the lid is foliate engraved with an owners initials in the centre and the interior is gilded. 

Inside the box is divided into two equal size components, with a central divide being a holder for the pipe tamper which is also solid silver with matching assay marks to the box.

Condition is very good apart from two dents at one end. The lid fits tightly and is well fitting, as is the hinge.

It weighs 84g and is 3x 2 1/2 x 5/8 inches.
