This is a Rare & Original Oil Painting that was an Exhibition Painting at the Paris Salon in 1901 and was done by William Homer Haskell (1875 - 1952) who is a Listed Artist in Many Indices throughout the World. This is an Original Oil on Canvas Painting of Museum Size & Quality Measuring Over 4 Feet Wide & Dates back to Circa 1901. Its Titled "The Story" & Depicts a Figurative Interior Portrait Illustration from the Time Period. This Painting was Exhibited at the famous Paris Salon in 1901 and was able to be verified through the Original Exhibition Records which is shown in the photos and was archived as a Dutch Interior. This is one of Haskell's finest paintings and his largest work on record, with craquelure throughout and some old repairs from natural age. Please keep in mind this painting is all original and touching 125 years old and you may want to have it redone at your discretion. We rarely come across paintings that was at an Exhibition in 1901 that we were able to verify as shown in the photos from the archives. It also comes with its original Gilded Carved Frame from the Time Period in Gold Leaf, Original Titled Plaque on the frame, and Lighting at the top. The Painting comes from a Private Collection which makes it very Rare Due to its Size, Age & Beauty. Please keep in mind this is All Original and has some minor wear and imperfections consistent with its age. Overall its in Great Condition & All shown in the photos.
