NOS - New Old Stock - Preston Petty WORKS GP Grips - Grey

One set of Preston Petty Works GP Grips in Grey. Designed by Preston Petty himself.

These grips are part hex shaped and part rounded with finger groves and produced using a more durable/softer rubber.


Made for 7/8" handlebars.

The Preston Petty GP Grip, were a very favored grip used in 1970's and 1980's for motocross and enduro racing.

The BMX scene also favored these grips. For this use you have apply the trick from then, which is to apply extra tape on the right handlebar, to encounter the larger inside diameter for the throttle housing.
Preston Petty later also sold them specific labeled for BMX, without the right grip having the larger opening. These BMX package are extremly rare to come by these days.
