The CKF-BR TrueRMS phase sequence and loss sensor is designed to protect electric motors powered from a three-phase network in cases of voltage loss in at least one phase or voltage asymmetry between phases, which may result in motor destruction. CKF-BR-TrueRMS also controls the sequence of power supply phases, preventing the motor from spinning in the wrong direction. Operation. Voltage loss in at least one phase or voltage asymmetry between the phases above the activation threshold will result in turning off the motor. The shutdown will occur with a delay of 4 seconds, which prevents accidental disconnection of the motor during a momentary voltage drop. It will be switched on again automatically when the voltage increases by 5 V above the activation voltage (i.e. by the voltage hysteresis value). With the above anomalies, it is impossible to start the engine. If the sequence of phases in front of the sensor is changed, causing an undesirable change in the direction of rotation of the motor, the sensor will not allow the motor to start. Reconnection is possible after the correct phase sequence is restored. By measuring the true effective voltage value (TrueRMS), the sensor guarantees correct operation even when operating in a heavily disturbed power supply network.
