This is such a lovely antique French fabric - I love the floral print on this!! This fabric dates to around 1860 and was printed with madder dye to get that beautiful reddish brown tone! The ground is a really interesting pattern incorporating fine details printed in an eggplant purple, and the floral print also has the eggplant purple with some soft warm beige in the design as well. Just gorgeous - I love these colors together! This fabric is a sturdy medium weight cotton and would be wonderful for so many sewing projects - you could use this for light upholstery, curtains, pillows, lampshades, quilting, or other sewing projects, or simply for design inspiration! It would add a lovely touch to any French farmhouse interior!

At the time of listing, I have THREE almost identical panels that I am each selling BY THE HALF (see measurement and condition details below).

MEASUREMENTS: I am selling this lovely fabric BY THE HALF, so one purchase will give you a piece of fabric measuring approximately 28 inches wide by 41 inches long. If you'd like to purchase BOTH halves, simply add to your cart and change the quantity to 2 and I will send you one long uncut piece that measures 28 inches by 82 inches. (I also currently have 3 separate panels, so if you want to purchase all three, just add to your cart and change the quantity to 6!)

CONDITION: This fabric has been left in unwashed, as found condition for collectors, but it can be hand washed and hung to dry. This fabric has the selvage intact on one side, but the other side is raw/unhemmed. One of these panels had two small tears that were repaired by someone using iron on patches on the reverse side (if this is important to your project, contact me after you purchase and I can check the fabric for you!) This fabric is really in lovely condition for this type of antique textile!
