What an interesting find! So, I found this quilt in France, however the selvage is present and visible on each side, says " Printed by Agosti Vat colors ~ I've done a bit of research and I believe the fabric is Italian, Etorre Agosti ? ~ I believe it dates from the 40's ~ This quilt is massive and heavy !~ It would provide a great deal of warmth!!!~ The batting is wool and it's wonderfully evenly distributed. The quilting is all hand stitched. The pattern is very unusual, really lovely pattern and colors. Neutral tones with brighter tones of pinks and gold!~ A very autumnal feeling pattern! ~*~ it would be lovely used as a bed quilt, throw, coverlet, or lovely simply draped from a cupboard , textile art!~
I love knowing that these heirloom textiles will start another life , with another family and be passed down from generation to generation ~*~

MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures 88 inches by approx. 79 inches

CONDITION: This quilt is in as found, not freshly laundered condition and will need to be washed to freshen up! I recommend brining to a cleaner with a large drum as my industrial machine wasn't large enough!!~ It can be machine washed and tumbled dry. There are some small marks that may not fully wash, but generally it's in remarkable condition! No holes !~~~ A lovely heirloom textile, which can be passed down from generation to generation ~*~ ( unwashed condition taken into account in the price )
