Canon AE-1 camera #1246771 Japan c.1970's. Popular 35mm film SLR. This one is the hard to find black paint version. Manual focus, shutter priority auto or full manual exposure control makes this a great camera for students of film photography. Please see all photos for condition. Shows just a few scratches and wear mostly on the wind lever. A fresh 6V battery has been installed and all functions have been tested and found to be working properly. The shutter makes the appropriate sounds at all of its speeds (no squeel). Auto exposure works and the needle is active in the viewfinder. The viewfinder is bright, clear and easy to focus with its split image microprism screen. Comes with its rubber eyecup to aid in viewing and composition. The self timer and blinking light work. The lens is the fast prime FD 50mm f1.8 with the breech-lock mount. The glass looks clear with no scratches or fungus, perhaps some minute dust. Focus turns smooth and the auto aperture works good. The light seals look okay. A full array of Canon FD mount lenses are available for this camera on the used market. This is a ready-to-go kit and comes with it's black fabric shoulder strap and lens cap. Also its original instruction booklet. Free shipping in US. See our other photo items.
