You are viewing a nice boxed souvenir spoon and fork made for the Coronation of George VI and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (later the Queen Mum) in 1936.  The sterling silver and blue enamel set was made by silversmith W.H. Haseler Ltd. of Birmingham. Each item of cutlery measures about 12.5 centimeters in length.  The total weight of both pieces is about 36 grams.  The spoons are in good condition with minor wear only. The box for which they were made measures about 15.5 centimeters by 8 centimeters by about 2.5 centimeters high.  Some minor wear and scuffing to the blue faux leather fitted box.
