Rust and Rot ~ Purveyors of wonderful things.

Welcome to the sale of this attractive and interesting wall mirror.

Dating from around 1930 this wall mirror is decorated with satin wood veneer and has two decorative ebonised columns with roundels over. The mirror plate is original and heavily foxed, if you love foxed mirrors this is a great example. Foxing comes in many forms and this example looks like tree branches or coral with stars around. I know this isn't for everyone, but personally I love it, besides, who wants to see themselves 'clearly' in a mirror anyway! The mirror would work well in most rooms and makes a very decorative focal point.

In good condition commensurate with its age and use. There is a small piece of wood missing to the side of the base where it has been adapted to fit somewhere but this isn't really seen in use. It also has a little varnish removed at the bottom of the left column where someone has pulled a label off. Please have a good look at the photographs as they form part of the description and contact me if you have any further questions.

The mirror measures (in cm) 78 tall, 49.5 / 53.5 wide and 5 / 7 Deep.
