J & G Meakin Sol Covered Tureen Universal Blue Transferware Vintage England. Posted by Royal Mail Tracked 48.

Sol ware and the sol registered mark were used between 1918 and 1963. I'm unsure of exactly when this tureen was produced but would make an educated guess at c.1930's.

As shown there are signs of general age related wear, there's a small chip to the underside of the saucer.
