Swatch Originals Vintage Standard Gent 'Croissant Chaud' Day/Date Watch - GE700.

This vintage pre-owned Swatch was part of the 2003 Spring Summer Collection.  It is fitted on its original leather strap.

The watch has been stored with care in excess of eight years, but, it has not been tested to see how it withstands immersion in water and therefore, it should only be considered as 'splash proof'.

A new battery has just been fitted and the watch is keeping  good time. The day/date revolves manually,  but the date does not change correctly during the automatic process. The final photo, taken on Saturday 6th January shows how the date appears in the window and its inaccuracy.

The matt transparent 34mm round case holds a light beige dial, with a dark brown minute ring, that has white markings indicating all minute and luminous hour points. In addition beige Arabic numerals, outlined in black, sit inside this ring, other than at 3 o'clock,  where the day/date window is situated.

Polished silver minute/hour hands with brown inlays and luminous inserts and a fine second hand, with a luminous marker, show the time.

The camel coloured leather strap has a contrasting dark brown leather loop and a clear plastic buckle.

The strap shows minimal signs of wear and the crystal has some blemishes, which are only visible under high magnification.

New replacement batteries are available free of charge under Swatch's 'Energy for Life' campaign, from any Swatch shop or from their Customer Service team.
