This is an original Jean Patou dress which I inherited. Now very much a rare couture vintage item. It is absolutely stunning. The cut, design and quality of materials is amazing.

It’s fully lined, in what I was told was silk. The main body is wool and the trims are real leather with real leather buttons.

This is a genuine vintage dress dating from late 60’s to early 70’s and commensurate with its age has some minor signs of age / wear which I have shown in the photos. A reputable seamstress would be able to repair these. Two buttons are possibly missing from the faux pocket flaps. But again these can be sourced to replace.

A specialist dry clean will spruce it up, but it has no smell or odour to it. It’s been kept in my wardrobe in a dress bag. But it’s time for it to be worn by someone who will fall in love with it. I hope someone will be delighted to add this to their collection. A true piece of couture history.
