Assembled using a transceiver circuit using subminiature rod tubes of version B, transistors and semiconductor diodes. The receiving part is a superheterodyne with one frequency conversion. Provides remote control via a cable up to 500 m long and operation as a repeater in radio networks.

Operating mode: frequency modulation telephony.

The tuning is smooth, the scale is calibrated in 25 kHz steps.

Frequency: 36.0-46.1 MHz, 405 operating frequencies.

Receiver sensitivity is no worse than 1.5 µV with a signal-to-noise ratio of 10:1.

Continuous operation time with a 3:1 reception/transmission time ratio is from 12 to 21.5 hours, depending on the battery type.

Reliable communication range between stations of the same type:

- on the move, with a short whip antenna - at least 6 km;

- in a parking lot, with a beam antenna raised to a height of 5-6 m - at least 25 km.

Entered service in 1967 as a replacement for the R-105D "Astra". Used until 1990.
