Manufactured in 1996 to be very similar to the 50s and 60s USA Fender Stratocaster. It has the heavy one and three-quarter inch thick body.

In the pillar box red this guitar is well-used and has quite a few blemishes around the body and headstock. The previous owner has poorly replaced the "Squier STRAT" decal with a "Fender Stratocaster" decal. He has also tried to touch up one of the body blemishes - very badly! The tuners have also been replaced with the vintage style, by the previous owner. The pots and switch are noisy and could do with cleaning. The strings are old and there is fret wear. In a nutshell, some TLC wouldn't go amiss!

Given the above, it still plays OK, though it could also be a great little revamp project for the Fender Stratocaster enthusiast.
