During the years of selling this great apple machine that a ton of people have purchased, I always get ask this question. “What is the difference between me buying your unit and the newest apple?” Here is the anwer for you…
1. Cheaper than the newer macs. No $4000 (Mac studio)- $40,000 (mac pro) cost or payment plans eg. 599/mo.
2. These macs can be upgraded and can handle video editing and music production. When you purchase for example the mac studio, you are stuck with whatever you buy at the time. So years later you will have to get rid of the mac studio if you want to upgrade, costing you more money. What my buyers do is they purchase my 5,1 macs, this way they can use their old setups/equipment and wait for the newer macs to come down in price while still running their projects on these 5,1. So for instance, a buyer purchase a 5,1 from me, in 2-3 years he goes and purchase a newer mac for A lesser price than the current 10-40k. Now, he has two computers. A 5,1 backup and a newer mac saving him $1000’s. It’s a no brainer.
3. Repair parts are almost nothing to buy and replace in the future for these 5,1, compared to the newer macs from Apple if you do need yours repair.
4. These mac pros I sell can accept 2-4 NAND FLASH drives on one PCIe channel with speeds up 3500 Mb/s (fast) compared to a regular SATA SSD drive with speeds around 200Mb/s. This is very good for VIDEO EDITING AND HUGE MUSIC PRODUCTIONS and you will always have speed and storage space!
5. These Macs still accept cheaper storage options like old internal mechanical drives and SATA ssd up to 16TB.
6. You can still use you old gear with these instead of changing your whole studio and workflow to accommodate a newer setup.

1. Units are powered on and tested for overall functionality to make sure I'm not wasting my time performing any upgrades or modifications. During this stage, I am looking to hear any noise or overheating by monitoring the each system component and their fans.
2. When everything passes, I do a visual inspection of the motherboard, CPU, fans and their bearings, power supply, board connections, and more.
3. I will then strip the unit down to its bare minimum. All cards/attached devices are coming out!
4. I will then vacuum and air dust every component including the motherboard and CPU trays while checking physically if they are good to be reused or not.
********************BELOW IS MY UPGRADE PROCESS***************************
1. After each unit passes, I will clean the ram slots, remove the original CPU, heat sinks, and clean between all electrical components for better contact and airflow. The thermal pads and paste are always replaced with newer and more efficient pads.
2. When all of this is done, I will then install the CPUs to upgrade the Processing power of the unit. I use a very expensive thermal paste and it's applied in a way to give the maximum contact between the CPU and the heat sinks. I will also remove the original Apple thermal pads from the heatsink and replace them with newer and better pads.
3. Everything is put back together with precision and torqued properly to ensure the components are making great contact.
4. The Boot drive, Thunderbolt 3 card, Graphics/GPU card, USB 3.1 card are installed and tested when the system boots.
5. All of the system modifications, tweaks, flashing, and partition manipulation are then done to bring this machine up to 2022 computing standards and specs to be able to be the beast you need it to be!

I test all of the functionalities of the machine TO ensure that every card or component is working well…
a. CPU test.
b. Memory/Ram verification test.
c. SSD tests. READ/WRITE speeds.
d. GPU/Graphics card test.
e. Thunderbolt is tested using an Audio interface (Apollo Twin Duo) and an external USB-C T5 drive for reading/WRITE speeds.
f. USB 3.0 is tested using an external SSD drive and audio interface (Focusrite
Focusrite Scarlett 18i20)
g. Wifi is tested. The 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands are speed tested.
h. Bluetooth is tested.
