Large Original 1904 Lithograph “Le Jongleur de Notre Dame” antique vintage opera poster from Paris.

Artist: Georges Rochengrosse - Georges Antoine Rochegrosse was a member of the Societe des Artistes Francais.
He became an officer of the Legion d"honeur in 1910.

The poster was printed in 1904. This is one of the Original Art Nouveau Lithographic Posters used for the premiere and production of the opera; NOT a reproduction. The dust cover was removed from the back of the frame to allow inspection and to verify authenticity and age of this piece. It has been re-applied but could be replaced if desired. The poster is backed onto acid-free foam core but is not mounted to the foam core. The paper is still in very good condition. No significant foxing or toning. Colors are slightly faded due to age, but still vibrant. See photos.

Titled: "Théâtre de l'Opéra-Comique. Le Jongleur de Notre-Dame. Miracle en 3 actes de Maurice Léna. Musique de J. Massenet."

Poster was for the première of Jules Massenet's Comic Opera. Published by Imp. E. Delanchy (Paris)

Professionally Framed in vintage ornate resin frame (circa 1970's).

Photos 1-6 show the poster in the frame with different lighting angles and publisher notations
Photos 7-18 show the back of the lithograph (with ink bleed through) and various detail areas.
Photo 11 shows a very small hole in the poster.

There is some bending, folding and small missing areas of paper at the corners, but nothing significant.
